Ocupol D Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines. It is used in treating bacterial infections of the eyes. It kills the bacteria that cause infection. It also relieves pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation.
Composition: Polymyxin B Sulphate BP……….. 5000 IU, Chloramphenicol IP………. 5 mg, Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate IP………… 1mg, Nitrate IP……….. 0.002% w/v.

Description
To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of polymyxin B (polymyxin b sulfate) and other antibacterial drugs, polymyxin B (polymyxin b sulfate) should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.
Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic. It’s mainly used to treat eye infections (such as conjunctivitis) and sometimes ear infections. Chloramphenicol comes as eye drops or eye ointment. These are available on prescription or to buy from pharmacies. It also comes as ear drops.
Ocupol D Eye Drop is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the prescribed dose and duration. Apply it only to the affected eyes. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The medicine should not be stopped suddenly without a doctor’s consultation.
