Lintor-M-1000 Uses
Lintor-M 1000 is a combination of Linagliptin and Metformin both the medicine used to control high blood sugar level. Linagliptin, sold under the brand name Tradjenta among others, is a medication used to treat diabetes mellitus type 2. It is generally less preferred than metformin and sulfonylureas as an initial treatment. It is used together with exercise and diet. It is not recommended in type 1 diabetes. It is taken by mouth. Metformin is used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. It is used in patients with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems.
How to Take Lintor-M-1000
Lintor M 1000 Tablet is best taken with food to avoid nausea and abdominal pain. You should take it regularly, at the same time each day, to get the most benefit. You should not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor recommends it. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes. Therefore, it is important to stay on the diet and exercise program recommended by your doctor while taking this medicine.
Lintor-M-1000 Common Side Effects
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, taste change, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Some people may develop hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when this medicine is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or upon skipping a meal. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking it.
Lintor-M-1000 Precaution
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your doctor will check your kidney function tests before starting treatment with it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.
Lintor-M-1000 Contraindication
Lintor-M-1000 is contraindicated in severe renal disease, people with liver problems, people with low levels of vitamin B12, people with pancreatitis, and people at risk of heart failure. If you are suffering from this condition please tell your doctor before taking this medicine. People with prior hypersensitivity to metformin and linagliptin should avoid taking Lintor-M 1000 tablet.
